Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) Forko uses, why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle personal data.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the link in the footer of this site.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the site to function and can't be switched off. They don't require consent under applicable e-Privacy rules, since the site can't work without them. We currently use:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (name derived from the site name) |
Keeps you logged in and remembers your session while using the admin panel or site. | Session / a few hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session |
| __cf_bm / cf_clearance | Set by Cloudflare to distinguish real visitors from bots and protect against abuse. | Up to 24 hours |
| cf-turnstile / cf_clearance-related | Set by Cloudflare Turnstile when you register or request a verification code, to confirm you're not a bot. | Short-lived |
2. Cookie consent preference
We store your cookie choice itself using your browser's local storage
(forko_cookie_consent), not a tracking cookie, so we can
remember your preference without loading anything else until you say yes.
3. Analytics cookies
We do not currently use any analytics or tracking cookies. If we introduce a tool for this in the future (for example, to understand which pages are most useful so we can improve the product), it will only load after you actively opt in through the cookie banner or preferences modal — nothing analytics-related runs before that. This page will be updated with the specific tool, what it collects, and its retention period before it's switched on.
4. Payment cookies (Stripe)
When you subscribe to a paid plan, you're taken to Stripe's own hosted checkout page to enter payment details. Stripe may set its own cookies on that page, governed by Stripe's own cookie policy, not this one — those cookies aren't set on forko.lt itself and aren't something we control.
5. How to control cookies
You have a few ways to control cookies:
- Use the link in the footer at any time to change your choice.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely break login and other core functionality.
6. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page whenever the cookies we actually use change — most notably, before we ever turn on an analytics tool. Material changes will also be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
